Silver Circle Award Winner – Named Vice President and General Manager in 2010, Fernandez was named a Divisional General Manager for E.W. Scripps in 2012 for stations in Kansas City, Indianapolis, Cleveland and Azteca America. During his time as VP/GM, WXYZ has been named the Michigan Association of Broadcasters “Station of the Year” every year since 2010 and won Michigan AP’s “General Excellence” award in 2011 and 2012.
