Water – Depending on the airline, sometimes buying water on the flight is cheaper than purchasing it in the concourse. First check with the airline but usually a bottle of water purchased directly on the airline from the flight attendants is at least a buck cheaper.

Don’t Wear Shorts – Wear long pants and clothing that is loose and comfortable. It has been recommended to wear mostly cotton or fabrics that are less prone to fire should you ever need to exit the plane in an emergency. A side benefit is that long pants are a bit more sanitary keeping bare skin from rubbing against the various seats.

Frozen Water – Yes, you can carry completely frozen water through security. The water MUST be completely frozen. Some medications require refrigeration. When you carry such medications, make sure the ice packs are COMPLETELY frozen as well.
