Bible Translators Got It Wrong
- “Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24 New International Version
- “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Mark 10:25 New International Version
- “Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Luke 18.25 New International Version
In Aramaic, the word for “camel” (גמלא) is spelled identically to the word for “rope” (גמלא).
When Jesus spoke to the fishermen, they knew exactly what he meant.
Then, of course, there are many other translations. Oh my, what to believe.
