Throughout the history of Arizona, the bar to overturn an election on the grounds of misconduct in this State – or Territory – has always been a high one. See Territory ex rel. Sherman v. Bd. of Supervisors of Mohave Cnty., 2 Ariz. 248, 253 (1887) (“It is the object of elections to ascertain a free expression of the will of the voters, and no mere irregularity can be considered, unless it be shown that the result has been affected by such irregularity.”) (citations omitted).

On Dec. 19, the House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack on the United States Capitol released the executive summary of its final report, which broadly summarizes its findings and criminal referrals.
The release of the 160-page executive summary follows nearly 18 months of the committee’s hearings and investigation and covers various aspects of former President Donald Trump’s alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election. The committee’s full final report has yet to be released.
